Program Outcomes

Outcomes

What I knew coming into the program:

Although I previously took classes on coding, it has been many years since than and I do not remember a thing. I am a clean slate in regards to having any coding knowledge before starting the program.

  • Outcome 1: Gather mobile requirements
  • I have learned how to establish the requirements, identify the problem, and apply the knowledge to design the project to fullfill the users needs.

This can be showcased in the following link where you can use my tip calculator app on your phone: https://jgizewski.online/tipcalc/

  • Outcome 2: Design mobile applications
  • I have learned how to logically build intuitive, human-centered projects and experiences by using best practices like Hick's Law, Miller's Law, Postel's Law, as well as Peak-End Theory and Aesthetic Usability Effect.

This can be showcased in my Employment Seeking Website at the following link: https://jgizewski.online

  • Outcome 3: Integrate mobile data technologies
  • I learned how to use HTML, CSS, push notifications, Google Workbox, Kotlin, and React Native to create a calculator application that can be used on web browsers and mobile phones.

This can be showcased in the following link where you can use my tip calculator app on your phone or in a web browser: https://jgizewski.online/tipcalc/

  • Outcome 4: Build mobile applications
  • To build native and hybrid applications, I used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React Native, and Kotlin. I use tools like Android Studio to test and debug.

This can be showcased in the following link where you can use my tip calculator app on your phone: https://jgizewski.online/tipcalc/

  • Outcome 5: Implement current platforms support
  • I learned how create websites that are flexible to fit any device. I used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, jQuery, node.js, and Bootstrap. I learned the importance of cross-platform development and it's importance to the user no matter which platform it's on because in the end, we serve the user and if they aren't satisfied, they won't come back.
